Ribbon kelp is a superfood rich in protein, calcium, iron, and vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, and C. Seagrove Kelp company has established a farm in the waters of Ketchikan, Alaska in the natural habitat for Ribbon Kelp to create a sustainable harvest. Kelp farming is a net positive for the environment that lowers Earth's carbon footprint and lowers CO2 levels in ocean waters.
Ribbon kelp is great in a variety of uses- miso soups, dashis, sashimi preparation, and sauces. It is extremely rich in umami, and can be used as a subsitute for kale in recipes, or as a raw snack. Check out Seagrove's growing collections of recipes.
Our packaging allows individual portions to be cut from a larger frozen section and easily used as needed.
