Arctic Char - Fillet - avg 1 lb
Skin on, avg 1 lb per fillet
Arctic char is a freshwater fish native to alpine waters that is often compared to salmon or trout. It has a mildly sweet, clean taste that reflects the waters it lives in. While its pink flesh may resemble salmon, it is less fatty and oily than farmed salmon, while maintaining a rich buttery taste. It is often enjoyed pan fried with crispy skin intact, or baked or broiled.
Traceability: Sustainably farm-raised in waters from Cascade Mountain snowmelt. Rated Best Choice by Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch.
